Marion and Henry are both big fans of the crazy game I bought at a thrift store today, "Lost World, Jurassic Park Game".

She also does a great impression of a meat-eater with her arms all tucked up like a tiny Tyrannosaurus.

Renee's Lotus Birth

We gave Renee a Lotus Birth, which means we never cut her cord and instead allowed it to separate on its own time. At five days old, she was Lotus Born. The next day we did a lotus flower henna design around her brand new belly button.

At 6:16 on the morning of the 17th, Keleigh gave birth to our daughter Renee Joyce. She was born at home, in the water, into her Momma's hands. Both are doing very well. Big sister Marion and big brother Henry are getting to know her.

eBay recently sent all of their sellers an email which included this:

1. Reduced Listing Fees
You asked, we listened. We're reducing Insertion Fees and adjusting Final Value Fees to lower your up-front cost to sell on eBay. You wanted free Gallery, now you've got it--plus more feature discounts.
* Lower Insertion Fees
* Making Gallery free
* Lower fees for Gallery Plus, Picture Pack, and Feature Plus

Which is great (listing fees for low priced starting items went from $.35 to $.20, or something like that, putting an important picture in went from $.25 to free. Great.

However, the Final Value Fee (which is the charge they take from whatever price the item sells for) went way up, 66% up from 5.25% yo 8.75%. So if I sell an item for $25 it would have cost me $1.31, now it's $2.18 ($.87 cents more). So...thanks for the price increase.

Punks. Trying to sell me on selling more stuff.

Okay, so this doesn't *really* count since this is Keleigh posting, not Jeremiah - but it is a cute picture of Henry! I call this his "money face" since he's holding a giant wad of cash that I made at a festival with my henna booth. He's trying to give me a fake smile, and other than just closing his eyes, this is what he came up with.

A Man's Life at Touchstone

Life really is good here at Touchstone Cohousing. I get the chance to interact with other men, daily, on a deeper level than simply being co-workers allows. I have male friends that are over fifty, and friends still in their teens. It's good to have friends close-by.

I have more reasons I'd like to write up, and I hope to get a couple of things here in the near future about this topic. Look for it soon.

Henry and Marion (and parents) went on a canoe trip. We had a great time, and nobody went in the water. We took some pictures with my camera phone, we got Henry, but not Marion:

Every time I put sugar on my cereal (which isn't that often, only when I have Grape Nuts) the same memory goes through my mind. At Boy Scout camp in the morning, one of my good friend's older brother, Brett, was standing next to me as I put sugar on my cereal, and then milk. I said something like "shoot, all the sugar went to the bottom". To which he replied, "That's why you always pour your milk before you put the sugar on, that way it sticks to the top."

I remember thinking, "Wow, he's so wise. There must be hundreds of these kinds of living-wisdom things that I don't know yet."

I was probably eight years old, and he was eleven or so.

I still put my sugar on first.

Marion Has A Goat

Who knew it was possible for a less-than three year old to own a goat? Well, as it turns out, Marion is the proud owner of a goat, who will be raised at Grandma Chicken's (my mom) farm. If I remember correctly, the proceeds from the sale of this goat when it's older will be put aside for Marion (college, car, trip to goat-city? I forget which).

Not many girls around here can say they have a goat of their own. Quite a lucky girl. The first question she asked when she saw the picture was, "Where's Henry's goat?" There's a goat on the way for Henry, it just has to be born.

Marion chose to name it Amalthea, which is the name of the unicorn in The Last Unicorn, when she's turned into a woman. She also said, "Now I sing a goat song; This goat is for me and Henry, the doggies have two feet, and the kitties have two feet, but not this year, cus I have two socks."
