Renee's Lotus Birth

We gave Renee a Lotus Birth, which means we never cut her cord and instead allowed it to separate on its own time. At five days old, she was Lotus Born. The next day we did a lotus flower henna design around her brand new belly button.

At 6:16 on the morning of the 17th, Keleigh gave birth to our daughter Renee Joyce. She was born at home, in the water, into her Momma's hands. Both are doing very well. Big sister Marion and big brother Henry are getting to know her.

Just When You Thought it was Safe

Turns out, it's not yet time to put the toilet paper back in reach of Henry.

Outdoor Adventures

Henry and Marion (and parents) went on a canoe trip. We had a great time, and nobody went in the water. We took some pictures with my camera phone, we got Henry, but not Marion:





Then we went on a walk in the woods, and experienced all sorts of fun new things.

Looking Forward to . . .

This is what I have to look forward to, with the spring coming, with Marion and Henry becoming even closer friends, and with the world opening up to them. These are the days I'll remember, the days that make me cry from their beauty, their fond memory. This is life.
