Songs Chosen

After some deliberation, and a good amount of listening to songs, I've picked out the two songs that I plan to do at an open-mic sometime in the not-too-distant future. I wanted to pick out something that is rather well known, and another song to pair with it that isn't going to be known by most people. I chose two covers instead of putting in an original because I think I'll feel more comfortable with other people's songs for a while. Right now, I just have to get working, get performing, and get over my insecurity on stage with a guitar. I never felt nearly as nervous when I was in the theater, but it's completely different with music.

So yes, two songs:

Tom Petty - I Won't Back Down
-I'm not going to back down from my desire to perform music for people. It's a great songs, it's not too difficult to play, and it's not too high for my voice.

Hayden - Two Doors
-Again, not too high for my vocal range, and there isn't too many tricky bits in the guitar part, so all should be good. Other than that, it's a great song, and I hope I can do it justice.

Go for it! The only way to get to your goal is to move forward past the fears. Your gonna do fine. I am already a great fan of your music and singing...
Congratulations, Mom II
